Wholesome Waffles
Wholesome Waffles are made with real fruits and vegetables, setting them apart from the conventional flour-based waffle offerings. Wholesome Waffles stand out by using only real berries to achieve their distinct flavour and colour, unlike some competitors who rely on fruit juice concentrates, berry syrups, or artificial flavours.
The Challenge
As part of Wholesome Waffles’ expansion in the retail market, a packaging makeover was in order to build and enhance visibility in the freezer section. We revamped their visual identity to better communicate their superior quality of ingredients, and they transitioned from a round tub to a rectangular box.
The Result
Recognizing the premium nature of the product, and priced almost double compared to standard flour-based waffles, the new packaging had an integral job. We conveyed a premium look showing the real food ingredients, and aimed for a naturally colourful, yet not overpowering approach. Wholesome Waffles are available at fine grocery stores like Whole Foods and Nature’s Fare.
